Special Education Services

Special Education services (Special Education Itinerant Teacher/SEIT services):

  • Certified, knowledgeable and experienced Special Education teachers (known as Special Education Itinerant Teachers/SEITs) work individually with your child to address areas of difficulty pertaining to academics.
  • These services are provided in the child’s natural environment, such as the child’s home, daycare center, Head Start program or school.

Bilingual Special Education Teachers are available.

Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEITs) provide individual services to the child based on age appropriate school curriculum and individualized goals structured around the child’s needs and goals derived from the Individualized Education Program (IEP).  These goals are based on prior evaluations of your child’s areas of strengths and difficulties.

Special Education Supervisor for Kids Unlimited will provide ongoing rigorous supervision of all Special Education teachers in order to ensure that each child is receiving optimal services.

Kids Unlimited believes that parents play an important role in the child’s success and encourage the parents to be involved in this process.

For that reason, all special education teachers will provide ongoing communication with parents.

Parents will be presented with continuous feedback, provided with opportunities to ask questions, raise concerns and provided with techniques/strategies to assist in the child’s progress.

Parents will be provided with multiple written progress reports through out the year and an annual report which will include recommendations and goals for the upcoming year.
